As residents of South Florida we know the anxiety, chaos, fear, and destruction that hurricanes can unleash upon communities. We lift up to God those in the Carolinas suffering as a result of the wind, rain, and flooding caused by Hurricane Florence. With the Psalmist we pray for the men, women, and children of North and South Carolina: “save me O God, for the waters have reached my neck” (Psalm 69:1). God, be mighty to deliver and save. May your church be the hands of feet of Jesus to those who are suffering. Amen.
